Is It This?
How to Play
The best question is the one that divides the possibilities.
1. Choose a category
Pick a broad trail: people, animals, places, objects, history, or science. The answer is selected on the server.
2. Ask useful questions
Start with broad properties—living, physical, human-made, a place—then use the response to narrow your next question. Avoid asking the same clue twice. Learn how to ask better yes-or-no questions.
3. Ask your guess
When you think you know the answer, ask it in the same chat as your clues, such as “Is it a steam engine?” An incorrect guess uses one of your 3 permitted incorrect guesses, but does not end the game until the limit is reached.
4. Read the reveal
When you solve the mystery, run out of questions, reach the guess limit, or give up, you’ll see the answer, facts, related subjects, and your result label.
