Is It This?
Privacy
This page describes how Is It This? handles game sessions, browser storage, abuse prevention, and contact messages.
Anonymous game sessions
Games use an anonymous server-side session with a limited lifetime. The session stores the selected category, hidden answer reference, questions and responses, guesses, game status, and score so the game can be enforced securely.
Abuse prevention
When a question is unusable, the service may maintain a temporary HMAC hash of a normalized network address for strike and lockout enforcement. Raw IP addresses are not intended to be persisted in the strike table. Shared networks can mean that a temporary lockout affects more than one person.
Browser storage and analytics
The game may store optional anonymous local statistics in browser storage. No analytics provider is required to play. Secret answers, raw custom questions, and raw IP addresses are not sent as analytics event fields.
OpenAI processing
Custom questions may be sent server-side to OpenAI for structured evaluation when an API key is configured. The application sends the question and a limited structured attribute set, not the secret answer name or aliases. See the AI Disclosure page for more detail.
Contact and retention
If you email AI Sure Tech, the contents of your message and your email address are available to the recipient for responding and handling the request. Ask by email if you need a privacy question answered or a correction handled.
Children and sensitive information
The game is designed for a broad audience and does not require an account. We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information from children.
